Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS)


It is an annual event that is organized in various countries in the Asia & Pacific region, including Australia, Brunei, China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

MINE SKILL Foundation is the partner organisation in India of Hwa Chong Institution, Singapore to co-host the event. The Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools is designed to challenge children with a high aptitude for mathematics who can apply concepts and knowledge. The competition questions aim to stimulate excitement and enthusiasm among the young children.


The syllabus covered is as follows:


Simple combinatorial problems                     Numerical manipulations                     Problem solving
Mensuration in 2 & 3 dimensions                 Simple integral divisibility                    Logical thinking
